Retrolink n64 controller driver

Retrolink controllers suddenly not recognised by computer, but work on other computers.

Usb Nintendo 64 Controller

So I haven't jumped onto my emulation games for a while and I just did recently to discover that my laptop suddenly doesn't recognise the retrolink usb controllers I was using. Has anybody else had this problem? I've tried to find the drivers in the control panel to uninstall/reinstall but the process seems different to the other times I've had to do similar things for malfunctioning hardware. I run 64bit win7. I have a feeling this happened when I had to do a system restore a while ago that got rid of a few things that I had installed in the coming weeks leading up to the system restore. If anyone could halp, that would be greatly appreciated!
