I'm looking for a way to download the documents from a template in Docusign.
I'm using the REST API in PHP.
- Download Checklist Templates as CSV Spreadsheet Files. Select “Send to DocuSign” from the dropdown list. Click the [Send] button when asked to confirm. You’d like to import into Pipeline or click the checkbox at the top of the list to select all documents. Click [Import Docs] to bring the docs over from DocuSign.
- DocuSign works with your documents, and business systems you already use, including salesforce.com, Microsoft Office 365 (including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and SharePoint), Google Drive. DocuSign is also available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.
- Experience DocuSign's free electronic signature download with a 30-day free trial. ESignatures eliminate the need to print, fax, scan, or overnight documents.
- To view your document: From the Manage section in eSignature, select the document that you want to download or print. To download your document: click the Download icon and select on of the following options: Combined Document to open a PDF file version of your documents. You can view and save the PDF from the window. Archive of all Documents.
- Jan 19, 2018 - Once the signature is acquired we have to download that day's worth of delivery documents and upload the signed documents to a cloud.

CHALLENGE: I have a template that I use to send in the envelopes. I simply want to be able to pre-show those docs to someone before he signs and without needing to create an envelope for him.
SOLUTION: To download those docs of the template (and eventually attach them to email to potential signer). However I can't find any functionality for that.
I know you can download documents of an envelope [ https://developers.docusign.com/esign-rest-api/code-examples/get-an-envelope-document-list ] but that is from an envelope that has been sent already whereas I want to download docs from the template.
Any help or alternative solution to the challenge is welcome.

Ok. Figured it out. Answer is simple enough when you know....
Docusign regards a template as if it is just another envelope!
So by using this method or this method just substitute the envelopeID with your templateID and it should work.
